price of nano

This is the article i read from Rediff and i could not resist writing this in my blog as to how much the people are bleeding in tha name of industrialization. The capitalism daemon is going to ruin us someday if this continues, read below. If you after reading this would say Mamta or people in Singur were wrong i would tell this country is not worth living

1. the state government will provide to Tata Motors a loan of Rs 200 crore at 1 per cent interest per year repayable in five equal annual installments starting from the 21st year(2029) of the date of disbursement of loan.
-> i get personal loan at 15 % and it starts from the day i took loan. calculate this based on 200cr and see the magic numbers ad add it to the cost of nano.

2. This loan was disbursed within 60 days of signing of the agreement in May 2006.
3. electricity for the project at Rs 3 per KwH, against the going rate of Rs 4.15 per KwH
-> cool, the deficit for state electricity board will be paid out by govt , which will be again tax money from middle class people (why i am saying middle class read on, seemingly rich people get tax rebates)

4. In the case of a more than 25 paise per KwH increase in tariff in every block of five years, the government will provide relief through additional compensation to neutralise the additional increase.
-> again tax money
5. computation of the comparison of benefits offered by Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh
a. excise exemption for 10 years
b. 100 per cent income tax exemption for the first five years
c. 30 per cent for the next five years.

-> Loss to state and country, imagine like this this money could have gone to develop education or infrastructure.
-> what do you need better road and education for your children or Nano car

6. subsidised the cost of land and the interest paid by Tata Motors on loans taken to build the project
-> remember this is farming land so we lost agriculture of some 1000 acres

7. Industrial Promotion Assistance in the form of a loan = gross VAT and CST received by the government of West Bengal on sales of NANO previous year +interest rate 0.1
-> clear loss of revenue

8. The loan with interest will be repayable in annual installments starting from the 31st(2039) year of sales from the plant

9. 645.67 acres to Tata Motors Ltd on a 90-year lease - annual lease rental of Rs 1 crore per year for the first five years+increase at the rate of 25 per cent after every five years till 30 years(Rs 1291 per acre per month)

- > actual price of land is 20 times of this price

10. After 30 years, the lease rental will be fixed at Rs 5 crore per year, with an increase at the rate of 30 per cent after every 10 years till the 60th year

11. After 60 years, the lease rental will be fixed at Rs 20 crore per year for 645 acres which will be unchanged till the 90th year.

12. 290 acres to vendors - Rs 8,000 per acre 45 years +Rs 16,000 per acre for the next
13. rate for commercial space in the area was around Rs 25,000 per acre per year for high land, 12500 for low land
14. 250,000 cars pe year > 500000
15. Tata Motors told the West Bengal government it would be investing over Rs 1,500 crore and vendors - 500cr

People of india , this is your time to wake up. See who is reaping benefits with your tax money. Why i am saying this is because i come from a state richest in minerals and power, yet the industril belt has benefited my state people in no way and only credit we got is that the place is most polluted place in India. i am talking about Talcher industrial belt. Do a google and see out for yourself.

here walks the greatest

I have always felt why at the the end of 20th century and forward we are so deprived of great leaders , visionaries like yester years in history. The question bothers me as science and technology are achieving panaromic heights of success , the greateness in humans are fading away.
The most strange thing among this is balance is still there, see in sports. I cant say people like Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Michael Schumacher or bradman or phelps will walk again on this ground. But sure they are the greatest and they are still showing us what is magic in true sense. We do not need religious preachers to show us miracles, here comes the people who can do the same thing in every step in their life. They never give up, they do whats other awe.

there is no price for awesomeness :-). Yes, what federer is doing cant be compared to anything. I have always praised this guy, the calmness on his face and artistry of his play always humbles me and literally leaves me thinking how can somebody do this. Still when he failed to win a single tournamnet i could not explain it to myself , what happened although he was still appearing in all the major finals. But the thing about sports is there is no prize for coming second best. Ask Nadal that, he would answer what do i mean.

Before US open i was sure that he is going to final, but winning the slam there never were any guarrantee specially the way Nadal is playing compared to him this year. But here goes the thing, this guy is playing like a machine for last 4-5 years winnning games after games without rest, so he has to get tired after some time. Even our so called Gods get tired fxing this world up and give up quiet frequently. But after winning 2 slams this year , the semifinal match between Nadal and Murray was an eye opener. Here is a player who played so well through out the year suddenly feeling fatigued. He was not moving at all and Murray was all over him. The thing about federer though he is rarely tires. That slim frame of his is a 5000 MW power house compared to muscular Nadal. He keeps going on and on.

14 grand slams are childs play for him now,how far he goes and how long he goes thats important. The rivalry of Nadal and Federer with Djokovic and Murray in the horizon , 2009 will be a year to watch out for tennis fans.

hail federer the king.

congrtalution india

finally, the thirst seems to quench. The road ahead looks bright and sunny. The hopes are alive again and the establish ourself as a growing country who can be better in all fields, not just in economy.

Thanks to devoted effort of some olympians like abhinav, sushil and vijender we ar moving forward. The semifinal match for vijendra kumar id few hours away. I am not beaming with optimism of gold, but hope in me tells me hold on, expect the unexpected.

2 golds in Olympics would be just the icing on the cake. Vijendra has nothing to loose. But burden of 1 billion hopeless Indian suddenly waking up to glimmer of hope might be too much for him, as it was for akhil.

I would bet Akhil would have moved ahead had it been world championship, but olympics brings the desperation not only for himself but for the whole country. The hunger of half a century is insatiable. It can consume anybody. I hope Vijandra can hold on and believe. Only one he should play for is himself, no family no country.
Whatever happens we would be still our heads high. We are moving forward and someday we will be in top ten.

Someday...

so much to tell

I am back, today is our independence day, we are 62 years old now, cool , isn't it .

been more than three weeks since i have written something, three weeks since bomb blast happened in bangalore, three weeks since blasts in Ahmadabad killed more than 30 people. These eventful weeks where so many things happened from trust vote to Olympics. Rise and fall of heroes. Violence and hatred running amok in Jammu and Kashmir. There is so much to tell how i feel about everything and how i wanted it to be.

But still i want to write something about our govt winning trust vote. I do not like it. I wanted this government to fall. I know we needed nuclear deal, its inevitable anyway, no govt would deny it. So why congress , the only reason i see is to gain advantage over its opponents just like BJP did nuclear tests at pokhran. Neither of them will stop taking credit for that. But the challenges that congress failed to address is bigger than nuclear deal. Terrorists in this country are freely walking on the streets parking death anywhere they want. I bet this does not only affect normal life but also has affected business. Inflation is going towards 13 point mark. Fuel is not available anywhere looks like growth is choked without enough air. Now to double the problem Jammu Kashmir issue has created ripples in the stability of this govt and people would very soon loose their faith in it.

Coming to my favourite subject sports, there is lot to mention, lot to write. There is this fall of hero of our times. No prize for guessing, Roger 'King' Federer. I hope he will bounce back next year, but i do not see any hope for him this year. Rise of the Spanish warrior Rafael Nadal, Yes i would name him the warrior who never gives up. I thought last year his chase for number one spot was going to end in sad story, but see here he is. He is not only winning match after match but he has eaten up Roger's reputation and Fame like virus. I think he is playing games with Federer's mind and it has worked like miracle. The king of the tennis has lost focus and confidence.

See i can't stop writing about all this. too much for one post, i would make it readable , see you tomorrow.

(samsung style) Next is Bindra, rathore, after effects of blasts.

regards

bangalore blast

when i wrote the last article about the small riot that was avoided last week i had no idea there is something to follow. But the worst has visted bangalore and we are in front of our pcs browsing through websites trying to find out information about the place we live in which has been visted by blasts few hours back.

The whole idea is three out of seven blasts has happened not more than half kilometers from where a stay and i am in office totally cut off from the place thinking about what would be the situation when i reach at home, if i reach there soon enough. I expect whole area will be crawling of police force by now.

I have no idea why and how the blasts were made although most of them happened near my place only. When i return from office today i would probably make some idea what happened in that place, but i will keep writing about the next few days for sure as this would be an experience how you recover from such an incident. The last news in channels is about the closing down of those areas, so i am concerned how will i reach home.

The terror and shock has finally come down on bangalore. I wont say it was unexpected as after what happened in jaipur and hyderabad it was just a matter of time. Whoever is doing this is getting away and we have yet no knowledge of what happened in jaipur and hyderabad. So it is unnecessary to say we would ever be able to know what happened in our peaceful neighbourhood.

And as follows the pattern of bomb blasts i do not think anything more will happen for today or in next few days except occasional news burst from our friendly news channels about number of death and injuries and who is suspected. But nothing really is going to happen atleast we can be realistic about it.

We were hearing about in auspicious ness of fridays and its impacts and now about retaliation. The spices will add up and rumours will continue. Visit my blogs for the next update and rumours happening around my place.

walked across the border

i never imagined whats going to happen next when i got down from the Bus half asleep for the Visa clearance. The sequence that followed could have been the most disastrous day of my life soon to be converted into most hilarious mistake i ever did.

This is how my experience of walking across the border started , before that it was supposed to be a pleasure trip to another country. This is first time for me when you cross a country by Bus and journey is just for 8-9 hours maximum. But then i would guarantee only few of our IT friends will experience these kind of situations. How many times You cross border having lost everything you possess only to pray to god that the guards posted at the next country's check post only allow you in.

Okay, the country i am speaking of is Malaysia to Singapore. Me and my friend took the bus around 9PM that day. We were supposed to cross Malaysia border around 4AM in the morning. DO not expect any trouble with the travel plan , i have a friend already in Singapore so i decided to carry minimal Cash.

The dilemma however when i boarded the Bus was what happens if a fell asleep during the Visa check, do not blame or ridicule me, i have these nightmarish thinking before everything i do new. I expect the whole thing to go wrong. But still i did not apprehend this.

We reached Johor(the border check post of Malaysia-Singapore) around 5.30AM. Although i was awake and was expecting this , i still found myself and my partner to be the last person in the queue for Visa.

Then everything started to go wrong, we had a argument with the desk clerk over the missing document which i was supposed to safe keep when i reached Malaysia. We realized that this document was necessary( Believe me before that i have twice came to India for Family reasons and nobody at airport bothered inquire about that).

That cost us around 20 minutes and finally the Guy surrendered and stamped our Visa.
I thought the problem was over for good and i learnt my Lesson. Never missplace a single travel document( the comic part is lesson is never learnt, i still missplace a lot of things). When i got out of the office we had shock of our life waiting for us. The bus driver had abondened us at check post and gone missing.

Now what do we do , do we go Back to KualaLumpur which i just left 7 hours back. Will the Singapore check post allow us in when they see us walking across the bridge on the border without anything. Will we be suspected of anything criminal? Possibilities were galore but then we decided to not to loose our valuables in the bus and go on across the border on foot and face the situation.

The mind was playing games with us and head was heavy having not slept well. Usually my waking up time is 9AM or later :-). We were crossing bridge, border to be more precise. The sky was loosing its darkness. The wonderful scenery around me meant nothing to me. Cars and Buses from both sides were zooming pass us. I was thinking somebody will give us a lift, but no. It was around 1 Km walk i suppose, do not remember exactly, but the this kind of start to new day had left all bad taste in my mouth.

We finally reached the the border post and saw police all around. Everybody gazing at us or so did we think. I do not know, the fear makes mind to see things differently. We walked to one of them , explained our problem more like disaster. He talked to another guy , then he talked to another. It went on for something around 15-20 minutes. finally good lord they allowed us in for custom checking, good thing i forgot the only lucky factor we had was passports were still with us. This one you could guess because it started sue to the missing document in our passport.

Once we got in there the next big problem was to clear customs, we spent another hou there answering all sorts of questions as we did not have a lot of cash and we were no carrying anything. Basically everything we had was in the bus.

But the best thing in these places are the people although were asking lot of questions, but they were not unfriendly.

Finally around 7AM we landed in Singapore after crossing the border, the place was called woodland. No guess for imagining our next step, straight to bus stand.

when we reached the bus stand the driver was gone and the bus was locked. The day can not get any worse. What we will do now. Without that we were helpless.

But that's not important . After the sun came into horizon , the problems seemed kind of melting on our faces. My friend reached there to save us, and his house owner was govt employee. After that things were looking good.

the next two days made us forget the disaster we started or so i thought. After 1 and half years its is till green in my mind. Trust me i do not remember a lot of things.

Bravo Bangalore

Today is an extra ordinary day. The storm was just blown away by the brave and good people of this city.
I have been thinking about starting to write something since i created this account. I have a lot of feelings and opinions about nearly everything that happens around me. But still i found myself contradicting to my own views because suddenly it seems that every god damn thing in this world has its own place.

So i thought what happened yesterday should not be forgotten and may this place will remind me and the readers there is still good left in this world.

Being an Indian you will never get enough of communal violence, its the mother of all hells this country has ever seen through out the years. Being an democratic country with all most all religious groups residing here kind of makes every countrymen proud in the whole world. And the most beautiful thing is all of these groups have nearly gone through all kind of difficult times and still holding on. And its not over yet.

Yesterday around 4 PM we heard another such storm coming. There was communal violence reported in a certain areas of the city, you know after Bombay and Gujurat places having these type incidents are not safest place. But Miracles do happen. The humanity is still alive.

By evening everything was as calm as ever. The city is not only the best place to be in India but the people and culture here are really something to be appreciated. We Indian are so different from each other but still there are lot of other things that makes us so closely knit to each other.

The Love-Hate relationship is unique. Anyway back to yesterday's incident seems after few disruptions, protests and little bit of violence the good people were on the street to stop the incoming storm of hatred. the bonds became stronger and stronger and miscreants were gone. The questions were answered and trust ruled again.

We as a country are maturing and we are learning to live with harmony with differences poles apart. The whole world sees us as economically developing country but i see this as a country still learning and developing on human intellectual.
